Running for Washington State Representative,
Its all about the 22nd district and its potential for the future. Our magnificent natural beauty and economic potential in the global market, makes our state’s opportunities shine. Hearn looks forward to being a part of molding that future for his children and yours.
Jason Hearn was born in Seattle, but has lived in Lacey since 1995. He and his wife of 16 years, Tina, are the parents of three children ages 9, 7 and 4.
Hearn currently serves on Lacey City Council as Chair of the Transportation Committee and member of the Finance and Economic Development Committee. He also serves county wide on the Solid Waste (Garbage and Recycling) Advisory Council, Joint Animal Services (Animal Shelter) Board, and the Emergency Medical Services Board, which oversees our ambulance service here in Thurston County.
These experiences have helped prepared him to be our next Washington State Representative.
Professionally, Hearn is in the communications business. As
an employer with Northwest Media Company LLC, since 2001, he is privileged to meet the needs of a wide variety of local and regional businesses. More information is available at
NWMediaCompany.com
These responsibilities have helped prepare him to become our next State Representative.
At University, Hearn earned a BA in Broadcast Communications/Media Sales, building skills that enabled him to learn about and listen to others’ perspectives. He earned an athletic scholarship (HS State Champion) in swimming and competed in the US Senior National Championships, and the Western Athletic Conference Championships in long distance swimming.
These varied educational and athletic experiences have helped prepare him to become our next Washington State Representative.
As a teenager, Hearn earned the coveted rank of Eagle Scout. This qualified him to serve on our Eagle Scout board of review, here in Thurston County. The Scouts trained him in citizenship and preparedness.
Scouting has helped prepare him to become our next Washington State Representative.
At his church, Hearn served on the financial team for several years, helping to ensure accountability of financial policy within his congregation. He has also been a participant in Vacation Bible School and other children’s activities.
Volunteerism has helped prepare him to become our next Washington State Representative.
For a balanced approach to a better Washington, the 22nd district’s support for Jason’s campaign is the next step. Thank you in advance for helping to fill this seat with the right candidate, Jason Hearn.

Washington State is a wonderful place to live. Our state has:
Abundant natural beauty: Mountains, forests, the ocean, farmland, desert and the Puget Sound,
all within a few hours of urban living.
Innovation: Research, science, technology, medical, and arts are all disciplines where Washingtonians thrive.
The 22nd district should be no exception. Let’s expand our heritage beyond just “The Capitol Area”.
Strong Military Presence: Joint base Lewis-McChord is one of the largest and most logistic military bases
in the world. It promises to become even larger. Let’s support our military and prepare for those who call
Washington home, after service.
Because my wife and I are raising our three children in Washington, I have strong personal interest in its
future. There are more government jobs ending, and there is little we can do about it during these economic
times. However, with 15 years of local business experience, I’ll work hard to improve our private sector
jobs, which will provide better family wages. Additionally, private sector jobs create significant tax
revenue needed to fund essential government programs.
I will also address the state’s financial burdens that are caused by released inmates. More jails are not
the answer. We need to embrace volunteer and faith based transitions programs, ones that will reduce the
rate of recidivism.
Government’s role is to protect society from evil and harm. Freedom’s role is to lift society to greatness. Let’s exercise our freedom and work through government, to protect ourselves from the perils of corporate
greed, as well as government waste and fraud.
Let’s look beyond ourselves to make Washington a better place for our children.
